Historic bookings after ship naming celebration
The launch of Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas marked a new era of innovative family vacations, with the celebration coinciding with the company's 55th anniversary. The largest ship in the company's history required over seven years of meticulous planning and innovation, making its debut a celebrated maritime milestone.
In partnership fรบtbol superstar Lionel Messi, WE created a spectacular hour-long event unveiling the Icon of the Seas and positioning it as a premier vacation destination. The ceremony saw contributions from notable figures such as Royal Caribbean executives and Emmy Award-winning host Mario Lopez. We infused a unique spin to traditional elements, like the Red Hot Chili Pipers playing modern rock songs on bag pipes, and the national anthem synchronously sung live across multiple ship venues. A highlight included Messi performing the traditional champagne bottle breaking.
